Behind the memories: About events and people

On October 6, 2021, at the future book centre in Nova Gorica, a conversation with Branko Marušič, the author of the monograph Izza spominov: O dogodkih in ljudeh (Behind the Memories: About Events and People) took place. In the book, personal memories and public events intertwine to reveal the rich layers of the past of the village of Solkan, the town of Nova Gorica, and the wider region of Goriška/Gorizia and Primorska. Oto Luthar, the director of the ZRC SAZU, led the conversation with the Goriška/Gorizia scholar.  At the morning press conference, books by other members of the ZRC SAZU Research Station Nova Gorica and other works dedicated to the Goriška/Gorizia region were presented, including the monograph Govorica predmetov (The Language of Objects), to which Špela Ledinek Lozej contributed, along with Maja Godina Golija and Vanja Huzjan.
