Photo exhibition of France Stele in Trenta

Until the end of October, the Triglav National Park Information Center Dom Trenta will host a photo exhibition by France Stele about the mountain pastures of the village of Ukve/Ugovizza. The photographs, taken on black and white film, show images of a past life when the inhabitants of Ukve/Ugovizza used to move with their cattle to the mountain huts and stables under the peaks of the eastern Carnian Alps in summer. The exhibition, co-authored by Špela Ledinek Lozej, was first organized on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Tone Cevc (1932-2007) in the Atrium ZRC SAZU and then presented also in the headquarters of the Slovenian Cultural Center Planika (Slovensko kulturno središče Planika/Centro culturale Stella Alpina) in Ukve/Ugovizza, in the Ethnographic Museum in the Venetian Palace in Naborjet/Malborghetto and in the Ethnographic Museum of Friuli (Museo etnografico del Friuli) in Udine.
