Publication of scientific articles
At the end of 2024, two contributions by Špela Ledinek Lozej were published. In the monograph New Horizons for the Alps, edited by Almut Schneider and Elisabeth Tauber, which provides a comprehensive examination of ethnographic research in the Alpine region and addresses socio-cultural transformations driven by climate change, tourism and a variety of economic and environmental pressures, she published a paper on her long-standing research in the Krstenica mountain (Alpine Pasture in the Julian Alps (Slovenia: The Krstenica Alp Revisited). In the thematic issue of Traditiones, edited by Dan Podjed and Lana Peternel and dedicated to isolation, as a complex phenomenon encompassing both physical and symbolic dimensions, she reflected on the the experiences of isolation, solitude, and loneliness in the Bohinj alps (Isolation and Connectedness in the Bohinj Alps: Experiences of a Majerca).
