Walking seminars are curated events in which the (selected) participants reflect on a specific pre-prepared research question, and the participants themselves, as well as discussions between them, are a central source of information for formulating answers to the question asked. Such seminars walk in a hybrid space between analysis and fieldwork, interweaving seminar and ethnographic work, whereas the border between them is never quite clearly drawn. Walking seminars are sometimes joined with ethnographic experimental writing where walking (and writing) can also be used as a specific methodological and epistemological intervention that allows for spatial and temporal expansion and the meditative deepening of the ethnographic event through the use of walking and writing (Rogelja Caf, Ledinek Lozej 2023).
